2013 Support Group Schedule
he National Parkinson Foundation Hawaii Support Groups provide a regularly scheduled time of positive relational and educational support for those living with Parkinson Disease (PD) and for their spouse or caregivers. The gatherings are also resourced by invited medical, therapeutic, and education practitioners addressing PD-related issues and current research findings.
Meets on the first Thursday of each month from1:30pm to 3:00pm in the Women's Building of Central Union Church. For more information, call Tiloi Lolotai, 392-2428.
Meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Castle Wellness Center of Castle Hospital. For more information, call Glen Landenberger, 383-4158.

First Saturday of each month at 10:00a.m. at the office of PHREI (Pacific Health Research and Education Institute) at the AIPA (Airport Industrial Park). For more information, call Glen Landenberger, 383-4158.
Driving Directions to PHREI offices:
From Pearl City: Take the H1 east toward Waikiki. Take Exit 16 to airport. Keep left at the fork on to Nimitz Hwy and follow signs for Paiea St. Merge onto the business side street. Turn right at Paiea St (Chevron on corner) and take the 1st right on to Koapaka St.
From Hawaii Kai/Downtown: Take the H1 west towards Aiea. Take Exit 18 and keep right to merge merge onto N Nimitz Hwy. Turn left at Paiea St (Chevron on corner). Take 1st right on to Koapaka St.
On Koapaka St.: Continue past the Starbucks on the left until you see the blue/white Airport Industrial Park sign and a steep, long ramp up on the left. Continue up the ramp to the 5th floor. You will see PHREI (Pacific Health Research and Education Institute) on the 5th floor sign and you may park on this level except for in the Reserved Lockheed stalls. PHREI's office is next door to Lockheed Martin.
BIG ISLAND - East Hawaii Support Group
Meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 11:00am at Kahi Malama. Call Dick Troelstrup at 934-9727 for more information.
Maui Parkinson support groups were in Wailuku, Kihei, Upcountry, and Lahaina. Unfortunately, these groups are on hold until we can get new group leader/facilitator, please check back soon.
