2013 Support Group Schedule
The National Parkinson Foundation – Hawaii (NPF-H) Support Groups provide a regularly scheduled time of positive relational and educational support for those living with Parkinson Disease (PD) and for their spouse or caregivers. The gatherings are also resourced by invited medical, therapeutic, and education practitioners addressing PD-related issues and current research findings.
Meets on the first Thursday of each month from 1:30pm to 3:00pm in the Women’s Building of Central Union Church. For more information, call Tiloi Lolotai, 392-2428.
Meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:00pm to 4:30pm in the Castle Wellness Center of Castle Hospital. For more information, call Bill Paresa, 261-0264.
Meets on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Regency Park Condo’s Recreation Room next to St. Louis High School. Directions: Turn into St. Louis High School then turn left at the fork in the road. Turn left again where the road narrows a few yards from the fork. Stop at the Security Office for parking directions. The Rec Room is on the left, a few feet from the Security Office. For more information, call Carolyn Ching, 383-7852.
East Hawaii Support Group
We meet from 3:00-4:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at Kahi Malama (Aging & Disability Resource Center, 1055 Kinoole St., Hilo). Call Craig Hurst, 966-8555 or Dick Troelstrup, 934-9727, for more information.
Maui Parkinson support groups were in Wailuku, Kihei, Upcountry, and Lahaina. Unfortunately, these groups are on hold until we can get new group leader/facilitator, please check back soon.
