Aloha,
A quick note to welcome you to some of the new website features. This is my section where I will try and keep you up to date on the big items I am working on.
To start things off is the exciting news that on March 23rd at noon time, some of the Board Members and volunteers are going to be joining Governor Green in his office for a signing ceremony to Proclaim ‘April as Parkinson’s Awareness Month in Hawai’i”. Unfortunately, space is very limited or I would invite everybody to come. But we’ll post pictures after the ceremony is over.
Next up is the upcoming HPA Symposium on Saturday, April 1st, from 8am to 1pm. We’re going to be back at St Francis in Liliha. This year’s theme is ‘Everyday Living with Parkinson’s’. We’ll have normal people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s putting on demonstrations to pass on the lessons learned in dealing with everyday chores. Janice and I will be putting on a cooking demo to show off my knife skills even though I have a Parkinson’s tremor. Please come out and join us in person. It’s shaping up to be a fun day. Look for the Symposium link on theHPA home page to register.
