Our Mission
The mission of the Hawai’i Parkinson Association is to positively impact the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s through support, programs, education and other services.
15 Support Groups on Kauai, Oahu, Maui, & Big Island 1,500 people attended support groups in 2024
150 families visited or contacted the HPA Resource Center receiving information & talking to volunteers, many of whom are newly diagnosed and talking to someone about their PD for the first time
210 people attended an educational event about exercise, medication, diet, & other topics to help them live well with PD
21 Outreach events that bring awareness of Parkinson’s to Hawaii’s community
21,600 people received our newsletter in 2024 providing information on Parkinson’s both in Hawaii and beyond
Training for 35 professional exercise instructors to help them design and implement classes for people with Parkinson’s
